16-year-old boy has died after stealing car and crashing it on Yorke Peninsula
16-year-old boy has died after an allegedly stolen car he was driving rolled on South Australia’s Yorke Peninsula.
His passenger, 15, walked more than a kilometre in a desperate bid to find help.
Emergency services were called at about 1.30am after the 15-year-old knocked on the door of a Kadina home.
He directed police and ambulance officers to the scene of the crash.
When they arrived at the Drain Road crash site they discovered a red Holden sedan which had rolled into a paddock.
Inside the car was the driver, 16, who had died at the scene.
The 15-year-old passenger was taken to Wallaroo Hospital for treatment.
