Aliah Johnson Death – A 17-year-old has been identified as a female teenager who was found with a gunshot wound to the head inside a home on North Linden Avenue in Pittsburgh’s Point Breeze neighborhood on Saturday, November 20, 2021.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the teen as Aliah Johnson, 17, of Wilkinsburg. Officials have identified the suspect in connection to the case as Emeka Moye-King, 16, of Pittsburgh.
Court paperwork states that Moye-King and his girlfriend, Johnson, were hanging out in a second-floor bedroom watching TV.
In court papers, Moye-King told police he handed Johnson his handgun to look at it, as he’s done before. He went on to say …” when he retrieved the Glock 30 from Johnson’s grasp and with his left hand, finger on the trigger, placed the firearm on the dresser….that the firearm went off ….and Johnson slumped over onto the bed.”
The mother of the suspect said she was there and told police she could hear the two laughing and joking, then she heard a loud bang.
Moye-King has been charged with criminal homicide and possession of a firearm by a minor.
