JUSTICE FOR AMANI KILDEA

Amani Kildea was a 20 year old man found hanging in a tree in Morristown, NJ. His death, without investigation, was ruled a suicide. Amani has goals and dreams to be in the FBI or CIA one day. He was set to attend James Madison University in the fall of 2020.

Amani was found an hour away from where he lives. His death doesn’t make any sense and I am asking you to sign this petition to bring to light the racial injustices black men face every day. This was clearly a racially charged lynching and Amani deserves better than to have his death ruled a suicide.

Amani was an adopted child of white parents from Ethiopia. He was an active vigilante in his community helping to bring child predators to justice. The IG account associated with him and his friends is @Pedogotcaught. This was not even a factor when considering his death. Just because his own father stated he was “sad” they agreed to rule it a suicide. You cannot physically hang yourself from a tree. No ladder, no nothing.Let’s reopen this case and get Amani the justice he deserves. His life matters. #BlackLivesMatter

BREAKING – Black man found hanging in Morristown, NJ.
Rest in Power, Amani Kildea. Amani was a 20 year old Black man originally from Ethiopia, adopted at age 5 by the pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Roxbury, NJ. He attended West Morris Central High School in Long Valley, where he played football, and planned to attend college in the fall with the eventual goal of joining the FBI or CIA. He was also a proud service member, having recently finished training as a Military Policeman in the Army Reserves. Our deepest sympathies go out to Amani’s entire family, who loved him dearly, and we will update this post with information regarding ways to honor his legacy as we are informed of them.
UPDATE:
Amani’s death has been ruled a suicide by the Morris County Prosecutor’s Office. While it comes on the heels of a recent surge in the public hangings of Black and Hispanic men across the nation, and we hope the County completed a comprehensive and thorough examination, we ask our followers to PLEASE REFRAIN from unnecessary speculation that simply causes more pain.
Because Amani’s death appears to be a suicide, we would like to express our deepest concern for the trauma the Black community is continually put through as victims of violence in this country.
