Mariela Gonzalez Rocha Death – Mariela Gonzalez Rocha has been identified as the woman who was found dead after shots were fired during a police standoff Sunday night November 21, 2021, in Southeast Portland.
The suspect in connection with the 29-year-old of Portland has been identified as Davonte A. Donahue, 29. He has been charged with: murder in the first degree (domestic violence), felon in possession of a firearm (domestic violence), attempt murder in the first degree (five counts), and a Multnomah County warrant.
Portland Police Bureau revealed that around 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 21, East Precinct officers responded to an apartment on Southeast 171st Avenue after they received a call from a woman saying she was being held, hostage. Donahue has been booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center after being discharged from a local hospital.
Further investigation, Police said that when officers arrived at the apartment, a suspect shot at them through the door. The Special Emergency Response Team and the Crisis Negotiation Team assisted the officers on the welfare check. They were unsuccessful in contacting anyone inside after making several attempts over the phone and by loudly hailing the suspect by use of Long Range Acoustic Device.
