Bernard Simuro Obituary – Bernard “Bernie” Simuro (1944-2022) Born on September 30th, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York to Clara and Ben Simuro. He passed away peacefully on January 8th, 2022 in Roseville, California. He was 77 years old.
Bernie spent his younger years in Brooklyn but the family eventually moved to Long Island where he graduated from Harborfields High School in Greenlawn. After graduation, Bernie attended C.W. Post College where he earned a BA in Business Administration.

After college, Bernie was drafted into the U.S. Army. He was sent to Vietnam and proudly served our country for three years reaching the rank of First Lieutenant.
After his tour in Vietnam, Bernie met the love of his life, Jill and they started their life together. (They just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in November.) Bernie was accepted into the management training program for Western Electric which eventually brought them to Rocklin, California.
In Rocklin, Bernie raised his two sons and served as a well-respected Little League Umpire for 30 years. He also volunteered his time as a youth soccer referee and mentor for the nonprofit organization, Cops Care Cancer Foundation. Bernie was also a proud member of the Elks Club.
Above all else, Bernie loved his family and friends. He will be remembered as a wonderful husband, father, brother, father-in-law, uncle, cousin, and loyal friend to all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Jill, sister Cynthia, his sons Brian & Chris, and his three grandchildren; Carson, Jackson, and Dawson.
