Christopher Anthony Alexander killed in officer-involved shooting

Christopher Anthony Alexander Death – Authorities on Friday identified a man who allegedly stabbed two people before being confronted by police and ultimately being shot. Christopher Anthony Alexander, 32, was reportedly staying in Clinton temporarily. Police said he stabbed a male who was living in the same residence on Thursday evening before stabbing a neighbor who apparently came outside to investigate what was going on.

Clinton Police Chief Shawn Stoker said officers encountered Alexander on a street in the area of 1300 West and 1700 North. Details on that encounter weren’t provided, but it ended in an officer-involved critical incident, and Alexander was killed at the scene. Officials report both the stabbing victims – a man and a woman – were transported to the hospital. Both are expected to recover.
