Leon Taylor Death – Darlaston Town, friends and loved ones mourn the passing of striker Leon Taylor who died at the age of 36. The club learned that Taylor was ill on Wednesday and passed away at night, according to the statement released on their official website on Thursday, November 25, 2021. The statement reads; “Darlaston last night was totally devastated to learn of the passing of our beautiful and great friend, and player Leon Taylor. Our thoughts and prayers are with Leon’s family and friends at this most difficult of times.”

Dean Gill, who managed Taylor at Darlaston also made a statement on behalf of the club. Gill said that Taylor’s beautiful wife and his two lovely kids are their consideration at the moment. He also added that the club is grieving Taylor’s death in love and unity. Dean Gill said, “Our love and support are with Leon’s family, friends, and teammates. In due course, as a club, we will pay our respects to Leon in the way he deserves. Leon had a partner and two beautiful children, and they are understandably our number one concern at this time. As a club, we are united in our love for Leon and the devastation at his passing. “We ask that everyone is given time to deal with this accordingly.”

Taylor was most recently at Darlaston Town 1874 and also counted Sporting Khalsa, AFC Wulfrunians, Brocton, Wednesfield, Bilston Town, Bloxwich United, Tividale, and Walsall Wood among his former clubs. Ash Evans Taylor’s teammate in Darlaston Town paid tributes to Taylor saying, “RIP Leon Taylor will remember the best times with Darlo achieving promotion together, rest easy my brother sleep tight.”

Darlaston’s match with Shawbury United on Saturday has been postponed.

A statement from Bilston Town said: “Devastating news to hear about the passing of Leon Taylor. He will be remembered as a Darlo legend and the glowing tributes across social media are a reflection of the impact he had on so many. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and former clubs at this terribly sad time.”
