Meredith Jenkins Death – Meredith Jenkins, of Auburn, California, who was the Deputy Director of Athletics of Fresno State has passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Ryne Stefankiewicz announced in a Facebook post that Meredith Jenkins passed away on Sunday November 14, 2021. Family, friends and loved ones are devastated by this loss as they grieve Meredith’s passing.

Meredith Jenkins was a former Senior Woman Administrator at Auburn University California and also served as the Tigers’ Executive Associate Athletics Director. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Meredith led the strategic planning and management efforts of the department, including the oversight of a $140 million dollar budget. She was also chaired the Sports Administrator Committee. She was a two term chairman of the NCAA Soccer Committee and Several SEC committee. Meredith received an Award in 2010 at the Auburn University Women of Distinction. was a State’s Deputy Director of Athletics from August 13, 2018., until her death.

In a Facebook post, Ryne Stefankiewicz shared  Meredith Jenkins was a huge impact on him for 2 years and made a better place for him. His post read; “One of my favorite people from my time at Auburn passed away this morning. Meredith Jenkins had a huge impact on me in my 2 years at Auburn. I looked up to her and enjoyed all the time we got to spend together in the press box during games. MJ made Auburn a better place for me, all of my fellow graduate assistants and everyone else she encountered on the Plains. A great soul gone too soon. Rest In Peace, Meredith. War Eagle”
