    I was very saddened to hear of the death Desmond Guinness, for over fifty years he championed the preservation of our Georgian heritage, he was also a lovely gentleman. Sincere condolences to Penny and Marina and Patrick

    Desond Guinness will be remembered not only because of his contributions to the preservation of important Irish architectural heritage.
    He will be sadly missed by the local community of Leixlip of which he was in many ways an anchor.
    Always willing to advise people who asked, welcoming anyone whishing to discuss architecture and Georgian heritage.
    A modest man, who never boasted about his own achievements, that included a Honorary Doctorate.
    We extend our condolences and sympathy to his family.
