Dr. Craig Michael Shannon Death – Dr. Craig Michael Shannon, MD died at his home on October 29, 2021, at the age of 42. Shannon was born on June 5, 1979, in New York, NY, and grew up in Zanesville. Dr. Shannon went to the college at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. Dr. Shannon was said to love sports a lot. Growing up he was an all-star basketball player.

In 2007, following in his father’s footsteps, he earned his medical degree at the University of Toledo College of Medicine. Dr. Shannon began his Neurosurgical training in 2007 at Westchester Medical Center/New York Medical College. In 2016, he graduated from his residency program and joined Brain and Spine Surgeons of New York as an attending.

He established his practice in Poughkeepsie, NY, providing neurosurgical care at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. Dr. Shannon built a practice he was proud of and devoted to. He put effort into developing strong relationships with and was well respected by his colleagues.
