Facebook tributes shared on John Davis’s death

WTOC Dawn Baker – “Rest in Peace my friend, John Davis. He suddenly passed away today at the age of 55. I still can’t believe it. John was one of the sweetest, most generous people I have ever known. Sending prayers to the family. Lesson: Always be kind to each other. We never know when it will be our last time seeing each other.”

South Magazine – “Savannah lost one of its most colorful and unique personalities today. He added color to our lives in more ways than one. His laughter was unmistakably him and his smile was always contagious. John, thank you for all that you did for each of us. Your concern was always for others and our hearts are broken. We will miss your smiling face and incredibly unique remarks but most of all we will miss your friendship. Thank you for all that you gave and all that you left. There will never be another one like you old friend. RIP John Davis. – MB”

Tom Keller – “It’s not really that important how big your funeral is. Don’t know why I was thinking about my funeral tonight. Probably because John Davis passed at age 55 and I’m 57. I don’t think my funeral will have a lot of people in attendance. I think this will be the case because I gave the last 20 years of my life to senior adults. This means friends made died quickly so not many people will be around for my departure but there will be many waiting for my arrival. What a day that will be!
I SHOULD ADD THAT MAKING YOUR ARRIVAL SURE IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT THAN YOUR DEPARTURE! EVERYBODY WILL HAVE A SIMILAR DEPARTURE BUT NOT EVERYONE WILL ARRIVE AT THE SAME PLACE! KNOW JESUS! (JOHN 17:3)”
