Chris Mcgrath Death – Chris McGrath, who was Guerin Catholic High School boys soccer coach in Indiana, has reportedly passed away after a courageous battle with covid-19. Coach Chris was pronounced dead on Wednesday, November 17, 2021. According the President of the school, Rick Wagner’s post in a blog in October, he said Chris was hospitalized due to Covid in September and later moved to ICU. He was the beloved husband of Shari McGrath and a devoted father of three children, Emily and Julia, and son Ryan.
Chris McGrath’s wife, Shari McGrath in a CaringBridge entry wrote, “Chris peacefully passed away this morning at 10:45 surrounded by his family,” . “He fought one hell of a fight, but there was nothing more that the medical staff could do for his lungs.” She added. The The Guerin Catholic community are heartbroken by the sudden loss of Chrisa as they send their love and support in a tweet from the school to the McGrath family as well as the boys soccer team.
Chris McGrath had won more than 60 games as the head coach of Golden Eagles from 2016-2021 including semi-state appearances in 2019-20. He was best known as one of the first to start using lots technology in soccer training and for creating Sogility which is a training facility for soccer games in Westfield that takes a technology-driven approach to soccer trainings. He was described by Cloran as someone who was forward-thinking. Chris was the owner of Indy Saints FC and an active member of the Indiana Soccer Coaches Association before his death.
