James E. Watts Obituary, Death – Preceded by
James E. Watts Obituary – James E. Watts, age 74, on the most beautiful of early Friday mornings received a call, a sort of call where one cannot refuse; a call home. James was born in Cheraw, SC to the late Robert L. Watts Sr. and Phyllis Marie Watts. Raised In Jamaica Queens NY, Sensei Watts ran his own dojo as a black belt spreading his knowledge to those who shared his passion. He shone bright with many other passions including, chess, backgammon, video games, exploring fishing holes with his brothers, and his dedication to the Kingdom Hall as a Jehovah’s Witness.
With a love for teaching, he taught several generations of children how to swim, leaving with them memories to last a lifetime. And while James wasn’t a dancer, he enjoyed wiggling his one pointer finger to old school Doo-Wop and Motown music. This man of many talents was also a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend to many and will be deeply missed.
