Joseph Czub – Death – Joseph Czub, The Transportation Supervisor at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake school district in New York has passed away unexpectedly following an accident. The Superintendent of the school district, Dr. Patrick McGrath said Joe Czub was in a tragic accident at his home on Sunday, November 14, 2021 and died overnight, He said while informing the BH-BL community of incident. In regards to the Transportation Supervisor’s death, The school district cancelled bus service on Monday to give time to the employees affected by Czub’s passing.

McGrath in a statement also said Joseph Czub was a longtime employee and supervisor as well as a 1991 graduate of the school district. Czub also helped in designing the district’s new transportation during his time as the head of the transportation department as he knew exactly the type of environment his mechanics, monitors, and drivers needed to be successful. Regular bus service will reportedly resume on Tuesday after the cancelled service on Monday.

Joseph Czub spearheaded the effort to enable firefighters learn school bus rescue strategies, such as an annual fixture in the district which are evergreen wreaths attached to the front of the district’s school buses. McGrath also said buses will be embellished with maroon and black bows to the front of each school bus in honor of Czub and they will transition to the wreaths after Thanksgiving. The Superintendent said the loss of Joseph Czub was devastating to staff, leadership and supervisory team as well as many friends across the district in a letter to BH-BL parents and staff. Joseph Czub  Obituary will be announced by the family.
