Blairsville, Georgia

Nov 12, 1993 – Nov 9, 2019 (Age 25)

Judd Marian Plott, age 25, passed away Saturday, November 9, 2019 in Jacksonville, FL.

Judd was born on November 12th, 1993 in Blairsville, GA to Elizabeth and Mike Plott. He was most recently employed with RC Ventures, Inc., where he worked dredging along the St. Johns River and savoring his time there on the water. He was also employed by his best friend, Chase Elliott, with Chase Elliott Motor Sports. He was preceded in death by grandparents R. M. Smith, Jr. (Paw), Dorothy Maney (Granny) and Max Plott (Grandfather). He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Union County.

Judd’s love language was unquestionably laughter. His charismatic and warm personality made everyone around him happy, and his wit and humor were truly one-of-a-kind. Friends often remarked that meeting Judd for the very first time was like reconnecting with an old friend; he had an uncanny ability to make people feel welcome, valued, and at ease. He was happiest with his family and friends while snowboarding, skateboarding, playing games, and riding motorcycles and four-wheelers. He loved and was loved by all who knew him.

Judd was a true friend to everyone– ready and willing to drop everything at a moment’s notice to help someone in need. Even those who knew him only in passing are better people because of his presence in their lives. Judd was also an adventurer who celebrated life at every opportunity. An enthusiastic and curious traveler, he took every opportunity to venture out to his favorite places, including the snow-covered mountains of Colorado and West Virginia.

Judd was unapologetically himself—a quality we should all strive to build in ourselves. He took fashion cues from no one but himself. His signature, every day look was well-known and all his: a pair of vintage sunglasses, a colorful t-shirt, skinny jeans and vans shoes. An ever-changing color and style of hair, coupled with a smile, always completed the outfit.

Judd was loved deeply by his parents, Elizabeth and Mike Plott, his sister, Maggie Plott, Grandmother Rea Smith (Maw) of Royston, Aunt and Uncle Charles and Jennifer Smith of Athens, Uncle Britt Smith of Athens, Uncle Terry Plott of Young Harris, Aunt Angie Davis of Young Harris, and cousins Ally and Samuel Smith of Athens and Lauren and Tyler Davis of Young Harris. Countless relatives and friends, too numerous to mention, will also feel the void his loss brings.

The family would like to thank everyone for their thoughtfulness and love. When you think of Judd, celebrate the good memories you have of him, and remember that life should be lived to the fullest, in laughter, surrounded by love and light.

A celebration of Judd’s life will be held at the First United Methodist Church Activity Center, Thursday, November 21, 2019. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm. The celebration will be at 7:00 pm. with

Rev. Don Landen, Rev. Eddie Herring and Dr. Charles Smith speaking. Anyone that would like to share will also be given the opportunity. Please dress as Judd would, casual.

This post will be updated with more information as they are made available and public.
