It is with broken hearts that we share with you, that Kendra Elizabeth McNabb, age 27, was unexpectedly taken from us on Friday, June 26, 2020 in Raeford, NC.
Kendra was an amazing young woman who was known for her vibrant spirit, determination, strong will, and her zest for life. She was passionate and put her whole heart into everything she did. She loved others selflessly, and wanted everyone to feel happy and cared for. She could lift you up with a single glance, squeeze, hug, or whatever it was that she somehow knew you needed. She had an infectious laugh, and lived life to the fullest. Her love of animals was beyond compare. We all called her the (dog, cat, horse, goat) whisperer because of her unbelievable connection, and ability, to seemingly “talk” to animals. Kendra was fearless, brave, strong and determined. She was introduced to the sport of skydiving by a loving friend, and was thrilled with the feeling of free falling after jumping out of perfectly good airplanes. She traveled the country to pursue this dream, experiencing over 100 jumps, and her skydiving friends became a second family to her.
As we remember her, we think of joy, bravery, compassion, strength, and most of all, LOVE. We would like to invite those that knew and loved her to join us in remembering her remarkable life.
Ar dheis De go raibh sí.
May she be at the right hand of God.
For those that live locally, Calling hours and services will be at Forastiere-Smith Funeral Home and St Michaels Roman Catholic Church in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts.

I will always remember there was nothing and no one that Kendra would not do her very best to save. Her dog, Sabrina, who she nursed through two bouts of cancer, cleaning her incision, administering meds, holding her close up to the very moment of her death. All our horses, rescues or otherwise. How she loved them! Her first trusty mount Luther. Joy (Cowgirls Dream) at her very first show. Cosmos. Dante. Chief. And of course Tristan. She and Tristan… She fed him chocolate glazed munchkins, the only kind he would eat. She rode him bareback sidesaddle, in her gown, at Alaina’s wedding. And she cried with me when we learned of his unfair and untimely passing.

I remember Kendra flipping around on the pole on her front yard. Jumping om her trampoline. Mucking about in swamps exploring every bit of nature. Stroking Radar when he was just a newborn foal. I remember how she kissed her friends on the lips. How she loved her twin in a way that was almost unimaginable. How she believed that if she loved someone enough she could save them, even from themselves. When life taught her differently, as life will, she fiercely moved on to save the next.

She does not want to hear our weeping. Sadness was unbearable to her. For the sake of her spirit remember the very best of our Kendra. The laughter. The love. The wildflowers braided in her hair. Her heart shaped sunglasses. The baby goat riding in her car. Remember her jumping on Tristan and jumping out of airplanes. Remember the best of her.

Because she was truly one of the best.
