The First Vice President of Zanzibar, Maalim Seif Sharif Hamad has passed away after contracting COVID-19 in January.
The politician who was also the Chairman of ACT-Wazalendo was born in October 1943 in Pemba. In addition, he has been a member of the Revolutionary Party (CCM) and the Citizens Union (CUF).
