Malikah Shabazz Death – Malikah Shabazz of Brooklyn, New York, who was the daughter of the late prominent civil right activist, MalcolmX, has passed away untimely at the age of 56. Reports says Malikah was found dead on Monday, November 22, 2021 in her Brooklyn apartment around 4:30 p.m. Family, friends and loves ones are devastated by this sad news which came as shock as it was not expected at this time.
According to reports, Malikah’s death is not considered to be suspicious and the cause of death is not confirmed yet as investigation into the death is still ongoing by the authorities. Malikah Shabazz was born few months after her father was assassinated in 1965. She was the beloved daughter of her mother Betty Shabazz, a twin sister to Malaak and sibling to two others. Ann Tripp, in a Facebook post said Shabazz’s death comes after two convicts were exonerated “The news of Shabazz’s death comes just a few days after two men, Muhammad A. Aziz and Khalil Islam, who were charged and served prison time for Malcolm X’s murder were exonerated.” Ann said.
Two police said the the Malikah was found unresponsive in her home on their arrival and two police officials further said the city’s medical examiner responded to the scene, and that the death did not appear to be suspicious. Malikah’s death came about 57 years after her father, Malcolm X was killed in New York City ballroom in front of his family at the age of 39 in 1965. Malikah Shabazz obituary and funeral service has not been announced yet. We wait for the family to make the official announcement.
