Mary Thomas-Triggs Death – Authorities have identified the victim that died in Terrebonne Parish two-vehicle crash as a 43-year-old Thibodaux woman. The accident happened on Louisiana Highway 20 near Vine Street about midnight on Wednesday.

Initial investigation into the accident shows that a 2012 GMC Acadia that been driven by Thibodaux resident Roy Skinner was moving eastbound on LA Hwy 20, while a 2003 Ford Expedition was been driven by Norman Triggs was heading westbound on LA Hwy 20. Skinner’s vehicle crossed the centerline and hit the Ford head-on for reasons unknown.

Skinner was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment, he was unrestrained at the time of the accident. Norman Triggs sustained minor injuries from the crash, he was properly restrained. Norman’s passenger identified as Mary Thomas-Triggs was severely injured in the crash and was transported to a nearby hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. She was said to be properly restrained.

This crash remains under investigation.
