Milton Leathers was an Athens legend who knew the history of the city. According to Milton Facebook profile, he was a graduate of UVA, DeKalb College, UGA, The New School (NYC), University of Hawaii and Western Carolina University. He also attended Baylor School and was a former president at L. M. Leathers & Sons. He was a work at Erwin & Co. before his passing. He was the beloved husband of his amazing wife Kammy Leathers.
Bryan Pruiett described Milton as a penultimate storyteller who found good in all things. His exact words reads, “he was the penultimate storyteller and southern gentleman who found good, beauty, and humor in all things.” A Facebook user Stephen Hollis described him as an adorable father. “Athens has lost a favorite son a friend to many a fantastic father and loving adoring husband to his wife.
