7-year-old girl Natalia Wallace was playing with other children on the sidewalk in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood around 7 p.m. Saturday when police said three men jumped out of a white car and opened fire on party-goers before speeding off, the Chicago Sun-Times reported Sunday. She was shut in the forehead.

The girl was shot in the forehead and was later pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital, the outlet said.

Police said 67 people were shot and 13 were killed by gunfire as of Sunday, including Natalia and a 14-year-old boy.

Investigators are now reviewing video from the scene of the shooting.

Natalia Wallace, known as ‘Natalie’ to her family, was a 7 year old girl who was killed on the west side of Chicago on July 4th while celebrating with her family. Natalia was a beautiful, kind, loving child. Natalia was described by her teachers as an angel and an excellent student. Natalia attended Crown Academy in the North Lawndale neighborhood. Natalia was very close with her siblings and cousins. Natalia’s life was cut short too soon due to gun violence. Please consider supporting by donating. The funds will go directly to Natalia’s father, Nathan Wallace. The funds will be used for funeral expenses and to support her family. We demand justice for Natalia. Natalia deserved so much better.
