Patrol Deputy Frank Ramirez Death – A single-vehicle crash in rural Independence County led to the death of Independence County deputy sheriff, 29-year-old Patrol Deputy Frank Ramirez. The accident happened on State Highway 14 at about 12:50 a.m. Thursday, morning.
Frank Ramirez was traveling eastbound on State Highway 14 when he lost control of the 2018 Dodge Charger he was driving. The vehicle left the roadway and hit a culvert on the driver’s side and then airborne. The vehicle overturned and came to a final rest on the culvert.
Ramirez was pronounced deceased at the scene. His body has been sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory in Little Rock for an autopsy.
It was reported that the road conditions were wet at the time of the crash as it was raining.

According to the Independence County Sheriffs Department Facebook post “Hero Down We are devastated to report that Patrol Deputy Frank Ramirez #121 was killed in the line of duty early this morning. Patrol Deputy Ramirez was involved in a one-vehicle accident and succumbed to his injuries. Ramirez was married with two young children. This is a time of tremendous grief for our agency, his family, and our communities. Pray for Ramirez’s family blood and blue, our community, and our department! #121, Rest Easy. Frank Ramirez will be released by his family.
