Provost Alan Brown Death – We are deeply saddened at the passing of 57-year-old Provost Alan Brown. he died on Saturday 13 November 2021, according to East Dunbartonshire Council. Brown was elected as Provost of East Dunbartonshire and Bishopbriggs South councillor in 2017.

Alan is survived by his loving wife, Catherine, and their two sons, Alasdair and Andrew. Alan’s death has left his family and other loved ones devastated.

Provost Alan was the Civic Head of East Dunbartonshire and he also chairs the meetings of East Dunbartonshire Council. He worked extremely hard in favour of his constituents and performed his role well enough as the Civic Head.

 

East Dun Council, friends, and colleagues, have taken to Social media to share a tribute and react to Alan’s unexpected passing.

Alan Brown’s obituary will be released by his family.  Our thought and prayer are with the deceased family at this sad time.
