Robert Maines III, 37, of Abington, was identified by friends and law enforcement officials as the man who was found dead in the water at D.W. Field Park on Tuesday last week. Someone who was fishing at the park called 911 at about 4:18 p.m. to report a body was floating in the water, prompting an investigation by police and the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office, which said that preliminary information shows the death does not appear to involve foul play.
