Beth Jamison Death – Beth Jamison, Springboro High School vocal music director has passed away on Monday, November 15, 2021, at the age of 65. Students were made aware of the news Monday during school. A team of grief counselors is was made available throughout the school day to provide emotional support for those SHS students and staff in need. The cause of her death was made known to be a double homicide.

Jamison initially worked in the Hamilton City School District in Butler County before joining Springboro High School district in 1989 as the high school’s choir director and musical director. Springboro High School Principal Kyle Martin said in a release, “Ms. Jamison, through her love of music, was a student-centered, kid-first educator. She was top notch and will truly be missed.”

District officials said they encourage parents to talk with their children; “How we, as adults, manage ourselves serves as an important model for helping kids handle tragedies like this,” said Scott Marshall, the district’s communications coordinator. “It is important that they know they are loved and supported as they talk about their feelings.”
