Teresa Ann Dilley Obituary, Death – Preceded by
Teresa Ann Dilley Obituary – Teresa Ann Dilley, 67, of Ostrander, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the Memorial Hospital of Union County, surrounded by her family. She was born August 8, 1954, in Ostrander, to the late Carroll and Helen (Green) Honeter, and was a 1973 graduate of Buckeye Valley High School.
Known as “The Babysitter of Ostrander” and “Grammy Teresa,” she sported the many hats that came with being a mother, grandmother, and caregiver to almost two hundred children over the years. With her doors always open and the lights always on, it was common to find village friends at the breakfast and dinner table or staying overnight without notice.
She was a member of the Scioto Township Fire Association Fireflies Women’s Auxiliary. Always acting behind the scenes, Teresa was a key player in countless community events including 4H and FFA, and loved to assist with running the annual STFD Fish Fry and STFD Golf Outing.
Equally as important, if not her greatest joy was the time she spent at the barn with her grandchildren raising cows and chickens, vacationing with her family, and traveling the world on cruises with her husband. Spoiling her loved ones during the holidays and gatherings at her home were some of her happiest moments.
Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 47 years, Randy Dilley; four children Brian (Natalie) Dilley, Stephine (Kim) Ash, Brandon (Jessica) Dilley, and Craig (Amy) Dilley; four grandchildren, Austin, Levi, Colt, and Brayden; one brother, Donnie Honeter; and many other family members and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy and Ronnie Honeter; and one sister, Carolyn Dunkle.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 4 p.m.–7 p.m. at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Dr, Delaware 43015.
A service to honor her life will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at the Fairview Cemetery, in Ostrander.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Scioto Township Fire Association.
